I've always found Vlad to have many of the characteristics of a
Dzur--perhaps more than those of any other house--whether he's willing to
admit to it or not.
He's never afraid to go up against superior odds... (and is often
successful against them.) He seems to enjoy a good fight--however much he
complains about the circumstances that brought it about... He's been
trained from childhood to be a fighter... He's got a heroic streak that
comes out in the heat of battle... He's a fairly decent sorcerer (no
matter how much he disparages his own abilities in this department)...
He even when charging into Dzur Mountain to see the Enchantress one
time... ;-)
It will be interesting to see these traits magnified (as tends to happen
in each of the Vlad books with the corresponding house...) in /Dzur/.
