The wiki article is speculation on Drien, so it is not a fact that Drien
was one of Kieron's siblings. At least, not until Steve gives us some
fairly strong evidence to assume so. Assuming that Aliera is Drien
re-incarnated, making Drien Kieron's sibling, there could still be an
explanation as to why Morrolan can't create amorphia: the skill is
recessive and rare, and he happens not to have it. But I don't think
Drien was Kieron's sibling, although at one time I did think it might be
possible.
I think back at the beginning of the Empire, the very selective tribe of
the Dragon had many talented members, including Kieron, Aliera's shaman,
Drien, and Dolivar, among probably lots of others. I think these
founding members of the Dragon set up many of the initial Dragon lines
(e'Kieron, e'Drien, &c.), and as the fortunes of certain Dragon lines
improved, those lines absorbed the founding lines, leaving us with the
e'Barritt, e'Mondaar, e'Marish'chala, e'Lanya (forgive my spelling; I do
not have the books in front of me), and so on.
But back to Morrolan. Since the e'Drien line is essentially one of the
founding Dragon lines, it's been around for a long time. I would imagine
that it would be well-known by Vlad's time whether that line could
create amorphia like their e'Kieron cousins. At least within the House
of the Dragon.
