My textev was from Orca (paperback, pg 195), where Vlad made his way into "a small, smoke-filled little inn, in amongst a large crowd of mostly Teckla, with a couple Orca and Chreotha surrounded by the entourage the minor nobility invariably attracts in such places, and, at the far end, a middle-aged Teckla playing a fretted gordstring as softly as such a twangy instument can be played, and actually fairly well."  

That's the scene I'm envisioning, with the Minstrel in the middle of "Seventeen Nights Drunk" - which probably plays better *outside* Adrilankha than in, though some may miss the Valabar's refernce.
