I did actually think of something along those lines. However,
underwear only came into common use in our universe in the 1800s, and
Dumas writes of an earlier era when such change in fashion had not yet
generally occurred.
Thus, I infer that Dragaerans have not yet made such a change either.
If they have, well, Paarfi has not implied it, let alone stated it
directly.
But if I become too frustrated with the phrasing, I may just punt my
current efforts and use "undershirt".
