Given previous evidence of Powerful witches/warlocks of Easterner  
stock living beyond the normal lifespan of the species, coupled with  
Vlad's sorcerous knowledge and witchcraft, not to mention a Great  
Weapon, it is no great leap of assumption that (untimely death not  
withstanding) Vlad has the means to live quite a long time...  All  
this to say, that the dates published by Paarfi are no guarantee that  
Vlad's story is concluded by that point.
