Stephen King does a monthly back page column for Entertainment weekly
called "The Pop of King." In his most recent one (last week's issue?) he
wrote about why he loves audiobooks. It's available online at:
http://www.ew.com/ew/article/commentary/0,6115,1551492_5_0_,00.html. In
the column, he listed his all-time top ten audiobooks and both the
Aubrey/Maturin and the HP books made his personal list.

It got me thinking about how I haven't listened to an audiobook in over a
decade and I should probably try one on my Mp3 player (and I've now heard
from 6 or 7 people that the HP audiobooks are amazing, so maybe I'll check
one out). Or maybe I should try one of the Aubrey/Maturin books on
audio. I've heard from a number of people who said that the books were
great, but I found that I just couldn't get into it. If the audio
version's really good though, maybe that will draw me in.

An open mind is one thing, letting geese run around in there is completely
different.
