Well, thinking pararectally, I can see Sethra not putting it that way.
 That is, she might ask, not as a favor for her friend in the Jhereg,
but as a favor for mysterious reasons that she would rather not go
into at that time, but basically, that this young Easterner and Jhereg
is meant for greater things, and like that.

Hm.  Maybe the events of /Taltos/ are the payoff for that favor.  "You
see?  He went to the Paths of the Dead to rescue the Dragon Heir.
Isn't that a greater thing?"
