One other reference I caught in /Jhereg/ in the midst of looking some of this stuff up. Vlad bought his first sword from a Jhereg sword-maker. Not stated to be part of the Organization, and since sword-making is not an illicit activity, I see no reason to assume he would be. Majikjn
