[Dragaera] a theory

My impression of the Seven Wizards is that it's a book of philosophy.
Understanding it is one of the steps on the road to understanding the nature
of reality.

Seven may be a significant number here. When Lords of Judgement discuss the
ramifications of summoning a demon to act in their interests following the
return of the Orb, one of the qualifications of the demon in question (the
one we know as The Necromancer) was that she knew six of the Seven Doors.
There's at least an implication that mastering all seven "doors" would
indicate a mastery of Reality. Certainly of travel between the universes,
which is more or less what Necromancy means in Dragaera.

>What do we know about the tribe? I believe we know 4 members, Kieron,
>Drien,
>Sethra and Dolivar,

I think you're over-generalizing. While there was a mass migration of
Dragaerans, there were many tribes. Not-quite double the number of Houses in
the current Empire. Kieron, Drien and Dolivar were early members of the
tribe that became House Dragon. Sethra's case isn't clear, being as even
today she seems to be neither clearly Dragon nor Dzur.

We don't know many details of the original Exodus following the destruciton
of the Jenoine, but what we do know implies that it was not a handful people
who bred a nation. Rather, it was a mass migration of many hundreds or
thousands of all sorts (half of which are either extinct or subsumed into
the Houses or the cultures of non-Empire lands like Greenaire and Elde
Isle). Kieron and Zerika I forged them into a nation as they wandered.

Given that, it seems unlikely that the Book is some kind of record of the
seminal Dragaerans. It seems more likely to me that it's just what it
appears to be on its face - A book of philosphy that seeks to expand the
mind of the reader to question the nature of Reality and of Sorcery.

As for the Scribblies, that's meta-story stuff but I wouldnt' be surprised.
*heh*
