Yes, the way Howard said this I heard a capital on Aspect.  Zelazny, who
must be considered when thinking of Brustian worlds, got into a little depth
on the topic in Lord of Light.

In Zelazny's view, being a God involved Aspects which began as tendencies of
the soul itself,  and were cultivated over several  lifetimes until they
could travel along with the spirit (soul) from one incarnation to the next.
Attributes were specific powers that came along with those Aspects, though
they might originally have been technologically assisted.

But back to Verra's blood -- if this is a Zelaznian set of Aspects, the
carrier of the Aspect would be the soul, not the blood.
