Do we know this?  Vlad says she doesn't eat food but (approx.) "other 
things".  Why not just say "blood"?  Now if it's the brains of the

I'll probably remain skeptical on this point unless/until there is
a scene of blood-drinking or there's a relevant conversation between
sophisticates which turns on the difference.
