A previous Easterner  we know of became a noted witch, has two familiars,
saved the empire's butt from Kana, consorted with the Empress (literally)
and Sethra Lavode and Morrolan (less literally), earned an Imperial title,
and lived hundreds of years.  Vlad isn't totally unique.
