I'm also convinced that there is/was/will be only one Godslayer and that, 
ouroboros-like, it's destruction is intimately tied into its creation. 
Anyway, I like the idea of having a legendary weapon whose legend existed 
for thousands of years before the weapon existed.

On another note, just to mess with my own ideas about the importance of 
naming, doesn't Telnan pretty much say that he picked the name Nightslayer 
because he thought it sounded cool?

Maybe it's really just a trait of Dragons that they tend to give things 
names that are literal/utilitarian. *heh*
