It's an interesting question.  In a way, he already is (as is
Morollan) -- she's done a fair amount of mentoring both of them, in
various guises.

In antother -- he isn't, and probably won't bcecome so (given his
projected role), as she reserves apprentice specificially for those
(apparently) who she trains as Lavodes and wizards, not mereley those
she mentors and even teaches.
