Noish-pa casts a spell in, uhh, _Phoenix_ or maybe _Teckla_
using blood. Maybe Verra cares about it, or maybe blood is
easier to sacrifice for a spell than a gram of flesh, or maybe
there's something significant about blood.

I'm not saying continuity is the be-all and end-all, but
we've seen quite a few references to blood, and if there are
in fact vampires maybe the whole thing ties together somehow.
It matters for spells, it matters for contacting Verra,
it matters for leaving the Halls - maybe it matters for
Sethra. If those are four separate issues, then fine -
a bit odd, but whatever. Still, might as well look.
