Right. But they'll ask you that for any old thing. I ran a search this
morning for "dour-handed Ranger", and Google asked me if I meant
"four-handed Ranger".

The UPenn library search succeeded, but that's not a proper test, since that
site returns up to 50 hits, starting with the first match OR WHATEVER WOULD
FOLLOW IT:

1 1 Zelazny, Gene. Personal Name
2 1 Zelazny, L. W. Personal Name
More Info 3 0 Zelazny, R. (Roman) Personal Name
4 18 Zelazny, Roger Personal Name
5 1 Zelazny, Roger, 1937- Personal Name
6 2 Żelazny, Roman. Personal Name
7 1 Zelazo, Noach. Personal Name
8 4 Zelazo, Philip David. Personal Name
9 4 Zelazo, Philip R. Personal Name

For Delany, my mnemonic is that he is a Singer "of cities":
 - of: DE
 - cities: LA, NY
For "delaney samuel" (with that extra "e"), UPenn returns

# Titles Headings Headings Type
More Info 1 0 Delaney, Samuel R. Personal Name
2 2 DELANEY, SHELAGH Personal Name
      3 4 Delaney, Shelagh, 1939- Personal Name
      4 1 Delaney, Thomas B., Personal Name
More Info 5 0 Delaney, Thomas Gerard, 1947-1979 Personal Name
      6 3 Delaney, Tim.
and so on and on.

which isn't helpful. Spell it right, though, and you get

1 38 Delany, Samuel R. Personal Name
2 4 Delany, Sarah Louise, 1889-1999 Personal Name
...
So the spelling can make a difference.
