Why a broad spectrum?  I would think it a narrow circle of cognoscenti.  
After all, how many people know what chobham plate is?  Compared to the 
populace at large, that is.

And how, exactly, would people know in Vlad's case?  Sethra, Aliera, & 
Morollan aren't going to say squat about it.  The Empress, ditto.  The 
Demon will probably put the word out among House Jhereg, at least as far 
as those doing "work" so they can take that into account when trying to 
go up against Vlad--but they aren't going to tell any other Houses.  And 
I bet the small fry operating the businesses of the House don't know 
either.  That basically leaves the Left Hand, Kragar, & a certain young 
Dzurlord.  Again, the Left Hand gains nothing by gossiping about this & 
the Dzurlord must have a certain amount of discretion, or Sethra would 
never take him on--besides, if he wants to gossip he's got his own GW to 
gossip about.  Kragar could spread the word, but to who?  House Jhereg, 
basically.  Unless he's got still other connections we haven't seen 
yet--possible, certainly.  Any way, Kragar doesn't strike me as likely 
to talk about Lady Teldra unless Vlad wants him to.

That leaves Daymar, I guess. . . but you'd have to get his attention 
with the Dragaeran equivalent of a two-by-four first (-:

At any rate, I don't see the other Houses as being much interested in 
GW's, one way or the other.
