No, although they have a certain amount in common. Raven eventually grew 
too old and failed to adapt to circumstances; I don't think that will 
happen with Vlad. In a world where so many outlive him, he seems to 
understand that youthful flexibility, at least of mind, is one of his 
assets.

Do we know enough about what happens to Easterner's souls to know how 
possible that is? Getting Verra to claim she had his soul safe in her 
keeping - without explicitly confirming that he was dead - might do.
