and there's that pesky wheel thing, along with some sense of duty to
whatever your nature is supposed to be, along with an outside race that
would love to enslave everyone :D.... the more you know, the more you feel
obligated to do, or even the more your reactions may be dictated. I could
easily see a being like verra deliberately limiting what she knows, so she
has more freedom to act, or at least to allow herself the illusion of
freedom.
