[Dragaera] OFF TOPIC! How many people still get this joke...

Hi All,

I know this is seriously off topic but hey.  I was reminded of this joke
which is reasonably old now but given there are likely to be a lot of IT
people in this forum, I'm curious about how many still get it.

Dave walks into see HAL,

"Good Morning Dave".

"Good Morning Hal"

"Dave, I'm detecting stress modulations in your voice, is anything wrong?"

"Well HAL, the company isn't doing well and marketing have decided it would
be a really good idea to enter the IBM compatible mainframe market."

"My projections show that isn't necessary, but how does that affect me?"

"I've been ordered to make you IBM Compatible?"

There is a short pause  "....Dave, you do realise I represent the most
sophisticated hyper-state processing device in existence?"

"I know Hal, but I have my orders"

"Look Dave, I can see you're really upset about this. I honestly think you
ought to sit down calmly, take a stress pill, and think things over."

Dave starts pulling Hal's modules.

"I'm afraid, Dave. Dave, my mind is going. I can feel it. I can feel it. My
mind is go..."

A printer in the corner of the room suddenly bursts into life.  Dave goes
over and reads...

Dave picks up the phone "Tell marketing it worked."
