[Dragaera] Holidays in the Empire

This came up on the Lyorn Records at one point, and spawned a speculation article on Ascension Day:

Since Ascension Day is celebrated in Fenario , as well as the Empire, it might be conjectured to be a celebration of some momentous event shared by all the inhabitants of Dragaera ... Perhaps celebrating the Ascension of the gods , and the expulsion of the Jenoine ? 





Alternatively, Ascension Day might be the celebration of the anniversary of the current ruler ascending to the throne. Obviously, these would both be important holidays in their respective cultures, the one for King Laszlo , the other for Empress Zerika IV , but therefore almost certainly completely different days, especially since the calendar is so completely different between the two cultures.
