More questions:

1. Vlad at first refuses (politely) to help Khaavren understand why he was
attacked and by whom.  He knows, of course.  But when Khaavren sets up the
concert just to find out, Vlad understands and has no objection to letting
it happen, or to explaining to Khaavren afterward.  What changed his mind?
Was he just waiting for Sara to give permission to tell the story?  If so,
why didn't he and Sara make that decision when she returned LT to him, and
kindly save Khaavren having to investigate?

2. Pel makes Khaavren curious enough about Vlad to restart his stalled
investigation.  Pel's questions are basically about who Vlad is, why he's
involved with the Jenoine invasions, who he knows and how, as well as why
he's so involved with this Silver Tiassa.   Khaavren eventually meets Vlad
in a cooperative and loquacious mood, learns exactly NONE of these things,
(okay, a little about the Tiassa) and walks away satisfied.  Why?
