>I'm quite skeptical of the whole "No, but I for one would like to me" line

Vlad would not typically say "You perceive that you interest me greatly"
either, so it's a safe bet that anything written by Paarfi about Vlad is
automatically suspect.

To the left, though, Vlad himself makes the point at the end that he takes
Sara's hand and she doesn't pull it away. Paarfi seems to have the gist of
things down, and I can imagine Vlad saying something like "No, but I for one
would like to be", if only to tick off her relatives. Clearly, Paarfi at
least has the story correct to the extent that Vlad is courting her and she
is intrigued but not won over at that point in time, no matter how the
actual events played out.

Sara has a bit of a cavalier attitude towards her suitor killing her
relatives. It could be that she'd assume her cousin would be revivifiable,
but I wonder if Vlad is aware how much Sara resembles Cawti, at least
superficially?

The interesting thing about Vlad drawing Godslayer at the end is that not
only is Khaavren surprised by it (and as disgusted as you would expect based
on his reactions to Morganti weapons in the Paarfiad) but Sara is NOT
surprised. At least, she is not surprised in any way that Vlad felt was
worth remarking on. That probably says something about the level of intimacy
that has already developed between Vlad and Sara, irregardless of any sexual
relationship.
