I'm giving _Good Guys_ a second read-through before I decide too much about
it. It almost seems like an experiment in writing as much as anything. Can
we mix perspectives? Can we mix-up expectations about who is "good" and who
is "bad"? Can we run four different stories at once and have them all come
together in a single conclusion?

I think a second read is probably needed. For me, at least. This was and was not a Brust sort of book. The voice and humor were there, but I couldn't connect to the characters. It might have been the continuous interruptions (I somehow started too many books at once and 'Good Guys' suffered from my distracted attention). I do think the premise is interesting and the differences between 'good' guys and 'not-good' guys is worth exploring, especially in a time where people are labeled 'evil' and tossed aside - as if humans cannot be complex, can't make mistakes, or grow and change.
