Impressing girls... blowing cash on teleports across town so he could 
have two at once... Getting a nicer place... presumably doing some 
gambling, &c, &c, &c.

I'm assuming his money by the time of /Orca/ is coming from his new 
estate in Szurke... He's an aristocrat now, and getting lots and lots of 
money from his Teckla serfs. Considering he doesn't have the expensive 
vices of some aristocrats, (doesn't have his own army, doesn't blow it 
all on priceless art, doesn't gamble with other nobles, &c) his wealth 
is therefore likely to be beyond his means to spend. (Though he does at 
times express the notion that refilling his purse is not as simple a 
process as he might like... It likely involves a trip to visit Noish-pa 
and withdraw from his treasury.)
