I, actually, don't listen to audiobooks at all; I gain far more pleasure through reading then, I think, I ever have in listening. This is not to say that I haven't been 'required' to listen to audiobooks -- the 'Magic Treehouse' series, as well as the Chronicles of Narnia, were bought by my best friend for her and her son to listen to in the car during long trips, but listening, to me, is not as pleasureable as reading. It's a passive/active difference.

On the other hand, I very much enjoy reading out loud -to- people, and do take pleasure in having a book read to me; I had that same friend read 'Harry Potter and the Sorceror's Stone' to me, and had not read the book previously. I was, in fact, required to NOT read the book before she finished reading it to me.

If SKZB's books are put to tape, though, I volunteer myself to read them out loud for the recorder -- if only to get my name out there. ;)
