Yes, but that's because the country you live in has a politically and
socially influential population of Irish-descendants, and of
Mexican-descendants.

This might be more plausible if there were obvious continuous cultural
ties between the Empire and Fenario.

Given that the most recent political contact between Fenario and the
Empire is recorded as a younger prince of Fenario hiding out in the
Empire, and before that, a problematic incident that appears to have
involved some "elves" kidnapping a young girl (who was returned by the
previous king of the Fenario), and given that "elves" who come to the
East are called "demons", I would kinda say... no.
