Thanks!

What is interesting about this is that many of the so-called "proofs" can be
actually used to disprove the theory as well, for example, this line:

"Or perhaps the conclusion of the conflict with the Jenoine will turn out to
have involved collateral damage - such as heavy civilian casualties - or
unpopular restrictions of civic liberties). " Retrieved from "
http://dragaera.wikia.com/wiki/Speculation:Paarfi_of_Roundwood"

Which would mean that there would be no need for any justification. Paarfi
would be writing propaganda due to the nature of the world he lives in. He
mocks Morrolan possibly because Morrolan deserves it from actions unknown at
this time... or possibly Mr. Brust is using a mouthpiece to tease the friend
who created Morrolan. But Sethra as Paarfi? I don't know... while I have
trouble imagining something that Sethra can't do...

from: http://dragaera.wikia.com/wiki/Paarfi_of_Roundwood:
"It is a bit difficult to describe *Paarfi of Roundwood*, and far be it from
the writers of these articles to attempt a full portrait of such a
complicated figure. For who among us could attempt to enlighten the visitors
to this location with a full conjuration of such a man, a
Hawk<http://dragaera.wikia.com/wiki/Hawk>,
an author, and an historian; a lover, a fraud, a man respected by all,
except for those who detest him; an inventor of tall tales; victim of
unfounded literary court cases and also the occasional paternity court case.
"

Color me unconvinced on that aspect.

Of course, that could have been written with tongue firmly in cheek, since
there are no references to actual printed information - but Sethra fathering
children? While Drien supposedly did something along those lines... I don't
know. Seems to be a bit of speculation in a non speculative section of the
wiki, right? Unless that has been accepted as true?

About the rest of it, how does Paarfi know what he knows? The same
way everyone else does, they try mightily to bribe those who would know, and
fill in the blanks with mighty guesses, right? Or maybe Paarfi has access
to all of Vlad's stories?

I'd be more interested in saying Paarfi is Pel (or even Tukko), but Mr.
Brust did say that no one we've met is anyone else we've met (will cite as
needed, I suppose. Sure he was talking about Mario, but it's awfully
precise...). Perhaps I am generalizing and painting with a broad brush -
but I would say Paarfi is Paarfi, the Empire's version of Andrew Martin (a
scandal biographer, to save you the google effort). Perhaps Paarfi has
Kragar disease and can hear things he probably shouldn't?

Anyway, as always, there are more questions than answers, just like life. I
won't disagree with the theory, since anything not directly said by Mr.
Brust himself is subjective anyway, but I don't subscribe to it, yet.

Respectfully,

Tomas
