And if Steve kills off Loiosh (prior to Vlad's own death), I suspect 
he'll soon see a mob of fans hunting down his street carrying pitch 
forks and torches, howling for the lynching of certain author-types.

I'm sure Cat and I would lead a rousing chorus of harmony-laden 
mob-chants. ;)
