I may be mistaken as it has been a bit since my last read through of the
series, but I believe Lady Teldra is Godslayer, one of the original 17.

Suppositions.  We have no way to know how many people do this.  Nor does it
get any further along the path of figuring out how one would know where a GW
was at any time--I refuse to believe that GW's shout out their existence to
all and sundry across the Empire 24/17.  (For one thing it would make
protecting the wielder harder to do.)  Anyone sufficiently sensitive &
skilled *might* realize it if he or she came into contact with Vlad, but I
doubt they would otherwise.  And even then, maybe not if Vlad has no reason
to draw.  Only Blackwand seems to announce itself while still sheathed.

(This raises a different question:  are there now 18 GW's?  Seems to me I
recall Vlad saying in Jhereg that it was common knowledge there were 17, but
Lady Teldra had not yet been created.)
