Absolutely. That is part of what I tried to cover by speaking of 'smoke and
mirrors' (albeit obviously not very clearly!)...

But then wouldn't dealing with these defences (and ensuring yours remain in
place)  be a major undercurrent of warfare, same as it is nowadays the use
of radar/anti-radar, SAMs vs air superiorty or anti-missile systems? I would
think if this things are possible and the enemy is employing considerable
resources in preventing you to teleport in, disrupting the protection would
be the easiest and most efficient way of winning a battle.

What I mean is, if mass-teleporting is a resource, it looks like it would be
incredibly powerful, so in any conflict there would be a lot of obvious
effort put into employing or preventing it, and I don't remember it being
the case.

Plus I would think you cannot prevent teleporting in whole regions in
practical terms, so it would still be a major part of supply distribution.
Ie: you might not be able to teleport supplies in a 2km radius from Castle
Black. Sure... it still is a great improvement from bringing them from your
base camp, wherever it is.
