This movie hasn't been made yet, and I'm not complaining. I don't
understand what you're trying to say here. Taking a wild stab: that
I'm saying that Depp would solidify the image of Vlad into something
other than what I imagined? Well, no. Any actor will necessarily do
that. I'm not against most of the other suggestions on this list, and
they differ wildly. I assure you, I am willing to allow for a very
wide variety and unorthodox take on Vlad. The one "take" I am
rejecting is the take that involves Depp playing Vlad, because it
wouldn't be interesting. It'd be Depp doing what Depp always does. I
can see that movie in my head already and don't really need to pay to
see it.

It really depends on the actor. Gary Oldman's performance as the
Inspector in the new Batman movies didn't recall to me his performance
as Zorg in The Fifth Element, or any of his roles, in fact. I think
Depp's comedic roles remind me of his other comedic roles. That means,
to me, that he's not a good actor in these types of roles. He doesn't
have the versatility to offer something new when it comes to playing
these types of roles.

There are no previous movies about Vlad. Not sure what you're trying
to say here.
