[Dragaera] So, what did really happen at the end of Chapter 15 of Hawk?

 Like “the dam burst”. 
So why not use that?   Does Dragaera not have any dams because they don’t need them because of magic?   No one invented them.
Still like the idea that someone burst through the door and made sure Vlad didn’t remember…without erasing the actual door bursting.
