I have bought all of Steven Brust's Vlad Taltos books from one of the local
independent book stores as soon as they were released. Unfortunately, the
last independent book store closed down some time after the release of
Sethra Lavode. So I figured I'd try pre-ordering my copy of Dzur through
Amazon.

Well, I am just too impatient when it comes to a new Vlad Taltos book. I
just got home from the local Barnes and Noble (how low we are willing to
sink!) with the last copy of Dzur they had on the shelf, and promptly
cancelled my order from Amazon which was still awaiting an August 13th
shipment date and August 18th approximate arrival date.

The one thing I will say about Dzur (and all the other books in the series)
is that it is equal to a meal at Valabar's in Adrilanhka.

>From the initial eager anticipation of what is bound to be an extremely
appetizing volume comprised of succulent and delectable chapters which are
each served at just the pefect moment. Each savory and extremely tasty
chapter adds to and increases the pleasure until the whole thing is finally
consumed with a zealous enthusiasm which is touched upon by a bit of sadness
due to the knowledge that it is over and that all other meals can only be
inadequate by comparison.

Until the next visit....
