Hmmm... Will Teldra really have any problem with her new identity as a
soul-destroying weapon?

Consider the following:

1) What's left of Teldra is not exactly the same person as before--this
is a person whose soul has become merged with the essence of a Morganti
dagger. Hence, what we know about Teldra's personality is not 100% of
the story. But even so...

2) Teldra was not above insulting Jenoine. We have no reason to think
she had anything against killing--where it is appropriate, that is--it
just didn't tend to come up for her personally in her role as
Morrolan's greeter.

When is killing appropriate? Perhaps when the victim really *really*
deserves to die? Interestingly,. this seems to fall in line pretty well
with what Vlad himself says near the beginning of /Jhereg/, talking
about the "two times previously" that he had performed Morganti
assassinations.

3) Godslayer is supposed to "cut away the diseased flesh"... That is
Teldra's new job. It is appropriate for her to swallow souls in her new
incarnation--under certain circumstances, anyway.

4) Consider also that it is Vlad who chooses how and when to wield
her... Thus (potentially) taking her out of the decision-making process
for whose soul gets eaten and whose doesn't. In /Issola/, it became
pretty clear that Teldra trusted Vlad utterly. Will she have a problem
trusting him to decide whose soul is no longer needed?

Would the Teldra we know really have that much trouble adjusting to this
role?
