Remember the Teckla in _Teckla_ (name escapes me)? The problem was less 
about the link to the Orb than the training. I guess Miklos managed to find 
someone willing to teach him, or maybe his training in Fenario meant he 
could figure it out.

I figure that Ric and the old drunkard had links to the Orb, but didn't know 
how to use sorcery, and couldn't afford the training, or maybe they figured 
the use was against their dignity.
