I bet it is that simple, esp. with the Orb 1.0; but at first M. didn't 
have the skills and knowledge and time to do it.  In the meantime he's 
probably reestablished the spell (esp. given that witchcraft was blocked 
to some extent [isn't this a crack by the way?] during the period 
described by _TSODM_) but doesn't advertise this, as it's a fine excuse 
to have a veritable army of witches in top mental condition on hand.
